From the Pastor's Desk:

A few years back, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops issued a document entitled:
"Renewing the Vision - A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry".
In  which the Bishops stated three goals that they hoped would be achieved in our parishes:

1.  To empower young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today.

2.  To draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the Catholic faith community.

3.  To foster the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

I am happy to welcome Gina Marie to the parish staff as the Director of our Youth and Young Adult Ministry in order to enable St. Elizabeth Parish to strive to achieve these goals in an even greater measure than till now, and to bring an enthusiastic and exciting leadership to our youth ministry programs.  In the brief time she has been with us, there has already been a wonderful response on the part of our parents and teens.  Gina's talents and years of experience with young people is a gift she brings to this important ministry.

May God bless her efforts as I assure her and all of you of our total support as we work together for our kids in these very significant years of their lives.
