From the Youth Minister's  Desk:

What began as a spark inside of me over 14 years ago, to just volunteer a few hours a week in CCD, ha ignited into a flame!  This ministry is my passion and I am overjoyed to be doing the Lord's work here at St. Elizabeth's!

The name "Branches" began many years ago when I was beginning a new youth program.  I wanted something catchy and short, but also something that had meaning.  After racking my brain, a friend of mine gave me a suggestion to just drop my Bible and whatever it opened up to might give me some inspiration.  So I did just that and the good book opened up to John.  I began to read Chapter 15.  In verse 5 I read, "I am the Vine and you are the branches".  I was amazed!  That was it, that was the name for the ministry and the meaning behind it, perfect!  I knew the Holy Spirit was working.

Along with Branches, (which is our High School ministry), I came up with the name T.W.I.G.S. (our Junior High program).  Not only are they the "little" Branches, but their name stands for "Together Walking in God's Shadow".

My goal is to impact more teenagers and young adults to Christ!  Friendship is an important aspect of all our programs and it's more that just a meeting.  There is something for everyone.
